Occupational First Aid Skill Set

Our Occupational First Aid course suits those currently employed or intending to work in nominated first-aider roles. It aligns with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, relevant state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authority requirements, safe work practices, and the first aid code of practice.

You’ll also learn how to hand over the casualty to emergency services and conduct incident debriefs or evaluations to improve future operations, address individual needs, recognise psychological impacts, and seek help if required.

Participants will gain the knowledge and expertise to develop and maintain first-aid action plans in consultation with relevant parties. Additionally, they’ll be able to undertake a risk assessment to establish, maintain, and facilitate the provision of appropriate first aid in a workplace environment. You’ll also learn to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and complete documentation, including checklists for stocking and maintaining equipment such as resuscitation, oxygen, and first aid kits.

At First Aid HQ, we’re committed to delivering the highest quality training to help you respond effectively in any situation. Enrol in our Occupational First Aid course today and gain the knowledge and skills to confidently handle workplace emergencies.
