First Aid HQ is committed to delivering high-quality first aid training. We understand that circumstances can change, and this policy outlines the fees and conditions that apply when a student needs to reschedule or cancel their enrolment.

Rescheduling / Late Arrival

• Students who give notice to reschedule their enrolment more than 24 hours before the start of their course will incur no additional fees.

• Students who give notice to reschedule less than 24 hours before the course start time, or after the course has commenced, will incur a rescheduling and administration fee of $20.00 (incl. GST).

• Students who do not attend and do not provide prior notice will not be eligible to reschedule without payment of the $20.00 fee.

• Exceptions – No Rescheduling Fee: Where a legitimate reason is identified and supporting evidence is provided, the rescheduling fee may be waived. An example of a legitimate reason is a sudden acute illness supported by a medical certificate.

• The following are not considered legitimate reasons: unexpected traffic or public transport delays, arriving at the wrong venue, running late, or new work commitments.

Cancellation & Withdrawal

• More than 10 days before the course: Students who cancel more than 10 days before their course start date are entitled to a full refund of fees paid.

• Less than 10 days but more than 24 hours before the course: Students who cancel within this window are entitled to a 75% refund of fees paid. The remaining 25% is retained by First Aid HQ to cover staff and resources already committed based on the student’s initial enrolment.

• Less than 24 hours before the course, or after commencement: Students who cancel within 24 hours of the course start time, or after the course has begun, will not be entitled to a refund.

• Late arrivals and no-shows: Students who are late to, or miss, their course without prior notice will not be entitled to a refund.

• Cool-off period: Students who cancel within 24 hours of making their payment are entitled to a full refund, provided the course start date is still more than 24 hours away. If payment is made less than 24 hours before the course start time, no refund will apply.

Cancellation by First Aid HQ

In the event that First Aid HQ cancels a scheduled course, a full refund will be made available to the student or the party who paid the course fee. Students will be notified as soon as practicable and offered the option to transfer to an alternative course date at no charge.

Refund Processing

• A $20.00 booking and administration fee applies to the processing of all approved refunds.

• Where a refund is approved, payment will be made within 14 days of the student providing written notice of cancellation.

• All refund requests must be submitted in writing to First Aid HQ. Please contact us directly to obtain the relevant refund request form.
